We have been working very hard throughout this first month of 1st grade! I leave every day feeling so thankful to have such a hard working group of kids! I am beyond excited to see how much each student is going to grow this year!

Please continue to check your child's folder each day as this is where I place important information! Fridays are especially important as this is when I send home weekly newsletter!

I allowed the students to bring home their library books this week if they chose to do so! Please help build their life skill of responsibility by reminding them to bring them back on Wednesday! They will only be able to choose a new book if they return the one they chose the previous week!

As always, if you have any questions on anything happening in Room 29 or you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail or phone!

Here is to a fantastic 5th week of school! I can't wait to see the kids' smiling faces in the morning!

And We Are Off!!!

I can't begin to explain the positive feeling I had when I walked into the gym to see 25 excited 1st graders ready to enter room 29. We started the morning off wonderful and it just continued to get better! I am so very thankful to have the opportunity to help your child grow this year!

We spent the day getting to know one another and even got to practice some of our handwriting skills! Very impressive I have to say! We did some math with M&Ms too!

We ended the day trying some "Jitter Juice" after reading First Day Jitters! Hopefully all jitters will be gone tomorrow and we will have another fantastic day!

Thank you so much for sharing your child with me this school year! I know without a doubt that this is going to be an AWESOME year in room 29!

See you tomorrow! I can't wait!
