A Full Week Finally!

We were finally able to get a full week of school in and get some really good learning done! Here are a few highlights from our week!

Reading
We wrapped up our unit on informational text this week. The kids were put into small groups where they chose a topic to research and then present to the class. They did a phenomenal job of creating a poster to share their learning with the class! Here are a few examples!

Writing
We also finished our how-to writing unit this week! The kids fancied up a book of their choice and will be sharing with small groups next week! It was exciting to see how many great ideas the kids came up with to teach others. This was not an easy unit and the kids worked very well! I am super proud of them! (I always am actually though!)

Math
We are continuing to build our sense of numbers and how they relate to one another in math! We have been working with addition the majority of the time, but are touching on subtraction too! At home it would be great ask students random single digit addition and subtraction problems so they can starting recognizing these in a snap! For example, what is 3+2, 4+6, 7+5, 8-4, 9-6, ect.
